Very good result on the World Games in Taipei
Athletes from the European Sumo Union won a staggering total of 14 medal at the World Games in Chinese Taipei 16 – 18 July 2009. Claiming Gold in 5 of the 8 weight categories. The following European Federations won the following medals. Congratulations to all athletes ,coaches and Federations for fantastic performance.
Russia: 2 Golds, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze
Ukraine: 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze
Estonia: 1 Gold
Hungary: 1 Gold
Poland: 1 Bronze
