Greeting from the president
Dear friends of European sumo sport,
As you may know the ESU Congress held in Varna on May 7, 2011 unanimously elected me President of the European Sumo Union for the next four years. Let me take the opportunity to express my thanks to all countries whose delegates were present at the Congress for their support and understanding. However at the same time I also wish to thank all countries who were absent from Varna but gave me their support from the distance.
I will really do my very best to perform my job on the highest level to the satisfaction of every single member of the European sumo family. I would like to integrate all European countries into one family where one common language is spoken which is sumo and there are no separate groups of interests based on cultural, linguistic or any other backgrounds, personal likes and dislikes.I wish to ask every ESU member federations to help me in implementing these goals as I believe that common efforts and team work can pave us the way to the development of sumo sport on the European soil.
