Dear Sumo friends,

Dear members of the European Sumo family!

Welcome to the new homepage of the European Sumo Union which is run from now on by the General Secretariat of the European Sumo Union with its base in the Netherlands. Our homepage has received a new face and I hope everybody likes the new design. We will try to feed the page with new information as often as possible and all results of tournaments and championships as well as all other sporting activities and matters of interest will be published.

Members of the Directing Committee of the European Sumo Union will be introduced and all of them will report about their activities from time to time. Every year we will introduce the "SUMO ATHLETE OF THE YEAR" - one men and one women athlete each - where all of our visitors have the possibility to send proposals by email until the end of the year. The elected Sumo athletes will than be introduced in our homepage.

We will do our utmost to improve the homepage of the ESU month by month depending on the recommendations and suggestions we receive from all persons visiting our homepage as well as from our member federations. Since it is our goal to keep the ESU homepage always alive, I would like to invite all visitors to come up with suggestions as much as possible simply by sending us an email to put us in a position to present to you a dynamic website.
